This new Workshop organised in collaboration with Hôpital Fribourgeois and the University of Freibourg is intended to provide young neurosurgery, anesthesiology and radiology residents with focused talks on the most common approaches and techniques to treat the various pain types and to implement them during a hands-on session.

This Workoshop will take place on November the 9th 2023 at the Hôpital Riaz. The subscription fee of 50.- Swiss francs includes the use of all workshop material as well as the breaks. Places are limited to 15 participants.  The course is open to neurosurgery, anesthesiology and radiology residents/young consultants.

The Hospital “HFR-Riaz” is modern hospital in the southern part of the Canton Fribourg, part of the complex cantonal network “HFR”. The Facility is based in the town of Riaz, region of Gruyère, recognized as a UNESCO world heritage site. The course will be held in the conference room “Gruyère”, located in the building “Agoriaz”, close to the entrance to the Emergency Room.

Access to the Hospital

By public transport

From Bulle TPF station, Mobul bus no 1 (La Tour-Riaz) drops you off every 30 minutes near the main entrance (Riaz, Hôpital stop), except on Sundays. The journey takes around ten minutes. You can also take one of the daily buses on the regional TPF routes 234 Bulle-Fribourg via La Roche (Riaz, Poste stop), 336 Bulle-Fribourg via Le Bry (Riaz, Centre stop) or 471 Bulle-Romont via Le Châtelard (Riaz, Centre stop). Approximate journey time: five minutes. Then follow the "Hôpital" signs (five-minute walk).

By car

If you are coming from the A12 motorway (Berne-Vevey), take the "Bulle" exit and follow the signs for "Bulle Nord-Riaz", then the "Hôpital" signs. Pay parking is available outside. However, it is not unusual for spaces to run out. We therefore recommend that you use public transport if possible

Access to the conference room

Once at the entrance of the Emergency Room (“Notfall/Permanence”), the red spot on the map, follow the road as indicated. The “Agoriaz” building is about 50 meters away. The room is on the third floor.
